(London, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Eduardo Morales, B2B sales manager at Soft2Bet, was interviewed by SoloAzar at recent ICE show. He commented the firm's latest novelties and analyzed the current situation of the company and the gaming sector as well.

´Being present at ICE London was essential for formulating and building a presence in the target markets´

We finally met again in person at ICE London. Why is it important for the company of being present at this show?

I believe that being present at ICE London has provided visibility and credibility to the company. It was essential for formulating and building a presence in the target markets. So, the answer is obvious; witnessing the presentation that Soft2Bet has showcased during ICE 2022, with the company's largest booth ever, nearly 40 employees attending, despite the controversial dates and a somehow decreased participation in terms of exhibitions, Soft2Bet has chosen to go "all-in."

What novelties have you prepared for this occasion? What has the firm exhibited at the stand, and what were the highlights?

Soft2Bet has focused on the best ways to boost exposure and connect directly with consumers during ICE. With a product-friendly exhibit, we strived to leverage the show to best showcase our services. The highlight of this event is the company's growth in terms of regulated market presence. Denmark is the most recent market where our company has obtained a license, with many more to come as it has been recently announced for Ireland. The quality of our B2C and B2B content and the teams behind the "quality growth" are our focus and the message we choose to send across.

After the last two years, we had to make changes and adapt both personally and professionally due to the pandemic. How does the company face this "new normal" we live in right now?

To come back stronger, Soft2Bet has first considered its business model as we returned to full speed. We tried to step up the game and be ready to confront the challenges and opportunities of the new normal. However, I believe that the main thing is the unity we've accomplished through tough times, which has sided with the ability to adapt. During these last two years, management has transmitted and practiced their support and flexibility to meet employees' needs and struggles, which has enabled to bring us even more together as an organization and come out more powerful than before, united.

Online gaming is becoming stronger every day worldwide. What are the opportunities that arise, and what are the benefits? Do you think online gaming could compete with land-based gaming or a complement?

Although some players still like the conventional brick-and-mortar casinos, most users nowadays favor going for a quicker and more convenient option to play their favorite titles. Accordingly, online gaming has grown exponentially, as it has been an opportunity for decades now. However, recent events have become more of a necessity to keep the land-based businesses running. In any case, these two channels can’t replace each other. They have specific business operations, marketing, market requirements, and regulations in most cases, so ideally, they’re bound to complement each other. Once the right market conditions and brand development meet at the right time with the right tools and regulations, the opportunity could meet expectations; managing the business expectations and having the right expertise in an online project is vital.

In what markets is the company already established, and what markets is it aiming to enter soon?

The worldwide iGaming business continues to show that it really is among the most dynamic sectors in the world of entertainment. Therefore, Soft2Bet carefully does market analysis prior to its debuts in any jurisdiction. So far, the company has obtained licenses in Malta, Sweden, Denmark, and most recently, Ireland. Without revealing our further strategic goals, I can say that we expect licenses coming up in more European territories and LatAm.

Brexit has been decisive for many companies when deciding to participate or not in this edition of ICE London. How have you handled this issue? Is it an important issue when deciding to be present here?

I believe that there were various areas of impact when it comes to the events industry. As was anticipated in my first answer, despite the difficulties, Soft2Bet has decided to take ICE as the global opportunity that it is. This industry has only the borders that we create, and it is clear that we always find a way to expand those boundaries with business development. Therefore, borders are not really geographical or dictated by customs; we are our own borders for growth and opportunities out there.
